How Did Our Universe Start?
The Big Bang explanation is heavily supported by all the observations that have been made in space, specifically observations of the universe and the galaxies. From space, astronauts observed galaxies moving away from each other at relatively fast speeds. This observation is a firm piece of evidence that the universe started with an explosion. This ancient explosive force (The Big Bang) is what propelled galaxies to keep moving away from each other at fast speeds.

A helpful way to visualize The Big Bang is to imagine a drop of water falling into a lake creating waves, the waves created would be the galaxies being created moving further and further apart.
